No sheep in wolf’s clothing here! AV-TEST rewarded the consistently low false positive rate of Antivirus Pro with its “Best Usability 2019” award.

We look back on a golden year. Antivirus Pro stepped onto the AV-Comparatives winner’s podium no less than 3 times! Our solution was awarded gold in the “Real-World Protection” category, in which, as the name suggests, all products are tested in real-world conditions. It also earned silver for its low number of false positive detections in the “Malware Protection” category. That’s not all. Avira was also awarded the “Approved Security Product 2019” certificate for its cross-platform, premium antivirus protection (PCs, Macs, and Androids can rejoice).

Avira’s Android app, Antivirus Security Pro, achieved full marks in AV-TEST, scoring 18 out of 18 points!

It really was a happy new year. Germany’s PC Magazin tested 12 security bundles in January and crowned Avira Prime the best antivirus protection.

The year’s first “Oscar” for “Top Product” goes to Antivirus Pro. Our antivirus protection achieved full marks in AV-TEST, earning to earn both the “AV-TEST Certified” seal of approval and the coveted title of “Top Product.”

Not to be outdone, Internet Security Suite emerged victorious as the best antivirus protection against all types of threats in Computer Bild’s Internet Security Test. The Avira solution was the only test candidate to offer protection from malicious websites. It also earned points for reliably detecting infected files with very few false positives (clean files mistakenly labelled as malicious), and minimizing the effect on overall device speed.

We continued our winning streak into February: Antivirus Pro emerged as CHIP’s test winner, scoring top marks (score: 1.0) for best protection, as well as good ease of use, and minimal system impact. All in all, it was rated the “most comprehensive and consistently excellent bundle of 2020.”

Our winning streak continued in March with 2 wins: Stiftung Warentest gave Antivirus Pro and Avira Free Security top honors, declaring both test winners for “Best Protection.” During the grueling workout, participating antivirus solutions faced down over 40,000 malware attacks, malicious websites, and phishing emails. Not for the faint-hearted.
